Trash Collection / Recycling

Trash collection is on Mondays. Trash needs to be out by 6:00 A.M.

New Residents need to contact Penn Waste to set up the service. Recycle containers can be picked up at the Township Office. If you would like a wheeled recycling bin, please contact Penn Waste at 717-767-4456.  Trash collection is not mandatory.

There is a recycle roll off located at the Township Building. For a list of accepted items, please download our PDF guidelines document. All recycling at the Township building is for daylight hours only.

If you have a complaint about Trash or Recycling Services, please COMPLETE THIS FORM.  Putting your experience in writing will help us to seek assistance in addressing your concerns.

Holiday Collection Schedule

If your collection day falls on or after the following holidays your collection will be delayed one day unless the holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday. If the holiday falls on Saturday or Sunday, there will be no change in collection schedules. Prior to holidays, Penn Waste advertises the collection schedule in the York and Hanover newspapers.
